The Handball Bundesligen ended their match operations on 21.04.2020 with immediate effect. The decision for the early termination was taken by a clear majority of the 36 professional clubs by circular vote in accordance with the Covid-19 Mitigation Act. With the termination of the 54th season, German professional handball has responded to the massive restrictions caused by the Corona pandemic.
