At the DLV general meeting on 2 August 2025 in Dresden, Prof. Dr Cherkeh was re-elected by the delegates for a further four years as a member of the DLV Association Legal Committee. He holds the office of deputy chairman there.
With the exception of cases governed by the Anti-Doping Code, the DLV's sports jurisdiction is exercised by the Association's Legal Committee in accordance with the provisions of the Rules of Procedure (RVO-DLV). The DLV Legal Committee consists of the chairperson and a total of six assessors, who must belong to various regional associations.
